1968 Morris Mini Cooper S
The Cooper S has been a love of Stewart's for many years. This example underwent a long restoration as it started life when purchased as a pretty tired old car! Through lots of work and money the Cooper S now is a fine example, having competed in the Mini Concours for some years after its restoration with success as being voted 'Best Regularly Driven Mini' on two occasions.
The Cooper S has had some tricky bit put in, like race cams, 1310cc motor, straight cut gears, and minilite replicas. The finishing touches of the walnut dash and steering wheel set off the British Racing Green paint and green interior. The Cooper S was one of four entered in the 1995 Three Peaks Rallye, where they placed a rope between the mini's and entered the 5 litre class! While not used a lot, it still is great to drive and much admired when it does venture out on the road.
