Sandown Sprint PCV 2007

The Sandown sprints for PCV are always fully subscribed. With Sandown being so close to home for almost everyone, the turnout is great.

It is also a really safe and easy track to get some seat time on. Basically two drag strips with some twisty's in between, the bigger horsepower cars certainly have the advantage at this track, with many faults able to be overcome with pressing the loud pedal really hard down the straights to make up for lost time.

I normally do okay at Sandown, but because of the lack of horsepower in my little 2.0S, the car does struggle against the other larger capacity cars in Class D.

For me, I was using the event as a warm up for the Sandown Historics only a few weeks later, and enable me to dial the car in to ensure a good event.

The improvements that I had made since last being at Sandown were promising. With the stiffer torsion bars, the car felt more stable through Turn 1 as well as through the kink up the back straight.

My best was a .......... which was about a second quicker than my last outing there.

Overall, a good event and happy that the car is looking good for the Historics.
