Widely known as the 'Ultimate Porsche 911' the 1973 was a weapon back in its day and remains so today. With only 1500 examples every produced, the RS was quickly snapped up by weekend amateur drivers wanting to enter events without having to modify their car at all. The RS was a racing package and available in either Touring or Lightweight form. The RS was shipped around the world by Porsche and many were raced and campaigned with phenomenal success.

This RS was the 1100th RS built and was originally delivered to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Delivered with very few options, the car remained in Amsterdam before being exported to Japan and later New Zealand, where it would remain in the Giltrap Museum (Auckland Porsche dealer). Early in 2000 the car was purchased by David Edwards (Chairman and CEO of Classic Adelaide). The car had only travelled 58,000 kms from new. David rarely used the car and 2003, Porsche Classics acquired the RS and performed some minor cosmetic changes to return the car to original (the door mirrors were incorrect!). The ride was altered to standard ride height, and the engine given  a major service. Since then the car has been in the Webster stable of cars and has been shown at numerous Porsche events. It has travelled approx 63,000 kms now, and remains to be a very original and non-restored example. The car could be left as is (it is registered in Victoria), or caringly restored to bring it up to Concours standard. Matching number motor, gearbox to the chassis, and in stunning condition, this RS thrilling to drive.
