The classic 1937 Cord Beverly Coupe was an amazing car from an amazing family of automobile manufacturers being the Auburn Cord and Duesenburg company. These manufacturers were destined to go broke once you see the way that they were made. They were amazing in every respect, including the way that the tooling, the technology and materials used. With only a small number of these vehicles being still on the road today, this particular Cord Beverly for sale is one of approx 5-10 cars that are in Australia.
This particular 1937 Cord Beverly Coupe was originally delivered in the USA Ms Loopy Valdez, who was Johnny Weismuller's (the original Tarzan). This car has had extensive work carried out by repairers in Melbourne that included a complete engine and transmission overhaul. While the vehicle has not seen many miles since our ownership, it has been always garaged and improved from when we first acquired the car. The car has some amazing features, including the wind up headlights, pre-select manual transmission, driving lights, original motor and transmission, and all the correct original gauges. This amazing and rare car will provide the new owner with years of great motoring, and would even suit being shipped back to the USA where the car has a large following.
